Review highlights

Based on 609 reviews

Dozo Platinum Arena on Old Klang Road is consistently praised for its authentic Japanese cuisine, generous portion sizes, and diverse menu offerings, including popular dishes like shabu-shabu, chirashidon, and various grilled items. The quality of ingredients, especially fresh fish and well-prepared meats, is frequently highlighted alongside thoughtfully balanced seasoning that caters to health-conscious diners. The restaurant’s atmosphere is noted for its comfortable layout featuring private rooms and seating arrangements that minimize noise, creating a pleasant dining environment. While the pricing is considered slightly on the higher side, many patrons find value in the lunch sets and drink options that enhance the overall experience. Service is generally acceptable, though some reviews suggest there is room for improvement in speed and attentiveness. Overall, Dozo Platinum Arena provides a solid choice for those seeking a flavorful and well-rounded Japanese meal in a relaxed setting away from the main road.

Travel Cafe Eat Drink - Malaysia & Asia Big Japanese restaurant in a new residential building along Old Klang Road,KL, Dozo Japanese restaurant has a lot of choices from the menu. Lunch set menu is great value with add-ons for only RM5 per dish and the food taste here is really good. My chirashi-don has generous serving bits of fresh fish along with some pickles

The shabu-shabu was great—you can choose between pork or beef! There were also plenty of vegetables and mushrooms to go with it. The karaage curry came in a generous portion, and the set was definitely worth it The unagi and yakitori are highly recommended too—not overcooked or too dry We ordered the passion fruit drink, and it actually had real passion fruit in it! Refreshingly sweet and sour

A Japanese Restaurant hidden from the view of the main road. We stumble upon this restaurant in Google Map and went to give it a try. Very good Japanese food with large portion. I think the wasabi they used is fresh-kind, not like those paste. Overall good atmosphere and nice food. Will come again for sure!

I tried the Mix and Match Lunch Set recently and it was a satisfying and affordable meal. The set includes a miso soup and refillable green tea. I opted for the teriyaki salmon bowl, and I was pleased with how the salmon was not dry at all. The seasoning was just right for my taste, leaning toward the lighter side, which suits health-conscious diners. The portion size was decent, though it might be slightly small for someone with a bigger appetite. The restaurant itself has a clean and comfortable environment, with a well-organized layout. However, during my visit, it seemed slightly understaffed. Despite only a few tables being occupied, the staff were noticeably busy, resulting in slower service. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re in a hurry. Paid parking is available at the condominium where it’s located in.

Food is really good and fresh too but a bit pricey. Restaurant layout very good, broken up seating arrangement, with private rooms help reduce the noise level. Service speed acceptable but could be improved.

Pleasantly surprised. The food was hot and fresh and the value lunch sets (less than rm20) we ordered were good in terms of value, choice, portion and taste and served with tea and soup. They offered choice of lunch set with more food (salad and chawan mushi) for less than rm40. Their regular menu seems varied and priced similar to other Japanese restaurants RM25 - 50 per pax with drink for lunch. Of course if you order sashimi, don't expect cheap prices. Will be baxk to try their other dishes

A hidden gem for Japanese food. The sashimi is fresh and many variety. Other sushi are also good. The wasabi used are fresh. Downside is a bit pricey.

A spacious Japanese restaurant with elegant design that sets the mood right away. The food is fresh and delicious, prepared with great attention to detail. Plenty of room between tables makes dining here very comfortable, and it’s nice that they also offer special promotions for residents in the nearby condos. If there’s one small note, the cleaning spray used on the tables has a rather strong scent, which may slightly affect the dining experience. Overall, still a wonderful spot for both casual meals and special occasions.
